SV: Are they all Datatagged? - SV650.org

Are all the SV's Datatagged? I know the early ones where.

Never seen any markings on mine. Don't they normally have a sticker or something?

I have a 2001 curvy, new to me this autumn that came with datatag stickers on it however when I contacted datatag to update the details they had no record of it ever having been in their system!

I bought an owners manual through ebay which included an original datatag card insert to say that the bike (that the manual came from) had been registered by the dealer in conjunction with suzuki so it seems that this was the norm for the model. I can only assume that mine was stickered but never registered by the original dealer/owner.

I was going to use the carol nash DNA kit but not sure what happens to the records if you don't renew your insurance through them.

To be fair to datatag they did offer to send me a new kit and register the bike at a discounted price to help the situation.

Datatag records can be checked by emailing them with your registration to see if you are in the system, stickers or not.

Got a feeling my 2000 curvy had AlphaDot rather than Datatag.
