They're tubes of metal that are fixed into the end of aftermarket exhausts

They are meant to make your exhaust quieter

But what a nice lovely v-twin noise. Release the sound.

They also increase the back pressure on the engine, which when the ECU in injection models and the carbs earlier models this is taken into account. By removing the baffle you allow the exhaust gas to flow more freely allowing for a higher state of tune. Removing the baffle does not necessarily increase performance, just increases the noise level and may induce exhaust popping on over-run. For optimum performance with the baffle removed the fuel system has to be retuned. A perfect example being when you fit a full sports exhaust system you need an engine remap
This is keeping it a simple as possible explanation

Cheap budget cans like 100-140, you can get Freeflow off ebay, Fuel aswell and CCC. Keep an eye on here to get a cheap one also. Then prices go up...Scorpion, Beowulf etc. All depends how much you wanna spend. Personally you cant go wrong with a Fuel can, they are cheap and sound nice
