Default scraping footpegs through the corners

Hi guys.
I asked this same question a few years ago and got advised by the org to get jackup plates or rearsets. I got them which has helped until the last two trackdays, when i have started scraping the footpegs again.
Some info to help. I am on a 2000 curvy, am about 80kgs, the rear preload is set on 4, i have the highest setting on the jackup plates, and about half a centimetre of tyre left. the thing is it feels good till the pegs scrape then i loose all confidence.
What is the next best mod to do? to improve the ground clearance?
cheers ryan

Did you get jack up plates or rearsets? There might be another make that has more adjustability.

Get your knee out and hang off.......if you have already raised your pegs and your still scraping your pegs on a trackday then your cranked over more than you need to be, hang off and you need to lean less.

I am definetly keeping the bike i absolutely love it even after all three years. yeh i thought one option might be change the whole rear shock.I did price up an ohlins, maxton and hagon shock but all pretty expensive.

the last trackday i did one of the instructors told me to move more. I am trying to do this it takes some getting used to. too much commuting has made me a statue on the bike.

there is your problem then. no end of jack plates are going to help.

if you hang off the bike is more upright for the same speed = more ground clearance.

true, to be honest i think the lack of body movement is the main problem. This is gonna be harder to fix than bike mods. oh well, will be fun trying. I am just a little disappointed about not being able to use up all of the tyre.
