NWS or ABBA?
Was just wondering what the org thought of the NWS and ABBA stands available for the SV650? I have read through many other threads that say that they are both great, and both stands come highly recommended by some of the forum members. However im unsure which is the best? The deciding factors for me will be how sturdy the stand is and also build quality. From what I can see both stands will cost approximately £100 (NWS ULTI-PRO and ABBA superbike stand). Can the Either of the stands be used on a none level ground surface? i.e. my drive is slighty sloped. I imagine that the NWS would be more sturdy in this case???? (bike facing up the sloped drive).

The fact that you cant buy a new NWS stand sort of answers your question. However, the NWS stand is better as you dont have to buy a fitting kit! Try and search old a used one.

Yep, I have a Abba stand and the NWS is better, unless you own a Ducati or a few other bikes as its a touch on the edge to get it on. For a SV its fine, though the Abba is still a great stand and I love it.

They both do the same job, in a similar way. I've owned both, the NWS is better. Find one if you can.

That's the old website.. NWS was bought by Pyramid and they sold off all the old stock and stopped making them if I remember correctly. |

I have the NWS, its bloody great but I had a massive scare when i rocked it off the stand trying to get the axle out. Like a mother protecting a baby under a car I had to use a fair amount of strength to lever bike back onto it!
