Default PayPal

I dont get paypal. The other day, I brought a subframe from a member here and easily managed to pay via paypal by just entering my card details. Now I want to buy a headlight from someone on here, and was going to pay by paypal again, but now it wants bank account codes and stuff and then i have to check my bank account to verify a set amount of money etc etc

Why do I have to do this? I don't see why i have to do it this time when i didnt do it the first time

Matt

I think it depends on value of item, or maybe they moved the goalposts again and just decided to require it for a second transaction or something, I had my account for years before I gave my bank details

If i remember correctly, this happened to me when i went over a boundary of the amount of money that you can spend without giving your bank details. I have to email the seller to tell them paypal was being a pain and had to wait for my bank statement.

I think its just yet another one of those security things.

Theres a cap on you're account, once you rwach/need to go over it to pay for something, then you need to register you're details.
Another fraud security measure methinks.

Check the auction to see how long you have until you have to pay for it. You may have sorted it out by then.
