Default Rattle from clutch?

I've noticed that when I'm stopped at a long traffic light on my Fazer, in neutral, not holding in the clutch, it makes a rattling noise (best way to describe it, it sounds a bit like a diesel engine). Goes away when I pull the clutch lever.

It only does this when it's warmed up, when I've just started in the morning it doesn't.

Folks on BCF reckon it's likely just the clutch doing its thang, a few think it could be a dodgy bearing or something.

Any thoughts? My SV never did this.

Hows the oil level? When did you last change the oil aswell?

Ive noticed a differance in noise at standstill on my SV in neutral between having the clutch lever out and in. No rattling, but there is a small differance (possibly audiable because i wear earplugs now)

Bike has just had a service and MOT, not sure what they change for the service, will check when I get home.

Thanks. Fazers have a detuned R6 engine apparently so I'm reassured further.

Check carb balance. It's quite a common noise from Yamahas and they don't hace the best clutches when it comes to a long life and mechanical integrity, but carb balance being off often exacerbates the noise.
