I can't recommend anything, but I thought the general consensus on here was that the TRE and Power Commanders were pretty pointless for an SV.

what bike?
can be done diy on an SV650. Method's slightly different from gen1 sv to gen2 sv I believe. (If it is an sv at all).
There's also a debate as to whether it works

Popular opinion on the Org is don't waste your money on one of these, you won't notice any difference in performance.

I did the DIY version on my 2002 Curvy, no noticable difference

heres the cheap way
1. remove ECU
2. plug into computer
3. recode script on there to be more suited to your riding
4. reconnect on the bike
5. test ride

i has a curvey so i havent done it on an sv but i have done it for a mate on his track bike when he had a ecu which was easy enough to reprogram.

Waste
Of
Time
And
Money

You want more speed , buy a faster bike . There is no cheap and easy way to gain anything truly massive on the SV I`m afraid to say .

Perhaps you could post some pics of how you did this

I did the DIY on my pointy - works but only has an effect at below half throttle and below 4000rpm (both must be true) - so utterly pointless as you don't really ride in these rev/throttle ranges on the SV. I took it off again, as it affects the neutral "map" and makes the tickover drop by 2-300 rpm - not good for winter. I think I noticed it made the bike slightly louder at tickover and low revs, but the effect is very slight. Doesn't improve the snatchy throttle at all.

The DIY job on a pointy consists of 1 20p resistor and 2 bits of heat shrink tubing. Pennies. Don't ever pay for one.
