for a similar sort of price, maybe another 500 - 1000, i'd be looking a T5 daytona rather than a T3.

I had it's big brother, the 1200, also in black. I love the rugged looks and the twin headlamp fairing from the front is very striking, if a bit outdated.

I got rid of mine 9 years ago, because things were starting to go wrong and it was going to be niggly, plus it was really too big for someone of my build. The 900 is lighter due to one less cylinder, but it still is a heavy, tallish beast. They are prone to fork seals going, especially on the left hand side and the side stand is a weak point. You may struggle getting it off the side stand, especially after you've filled the 5 gallon tank. Brakes also seize. Starter sprag is a problem too if it goes I believe.

Personally, I'd look for a Yamaha FJ1200 if you're looking at a big older bike.

Its a "trade sale" with no history or warranty. So its a 13 year old banger and worth about half the asking price.

Looking, it seems I've forgotten how old FJs are, but a ThunderAce would be a good choice too I reckon.

It was seeing this on Ebay, made me think of them
