ok so next year my 33bhp restriction comes off but im going to start saving this year, so may as well ask now what would be a good bike to get after the sv?
im not totaly into the sports bike style but want somthing that can keep up with one and im not realy wanting a revvy 600, have riden a r6 and hated the way you had to wring its neck. im quite a competent rider and generaly speeking know how to handle my bike on the road (despite my age i have riden various things for about 4-5 years not on the road thogh), and this year and next (till april) will be doing some track days, and my advanced test later on this year im thinking i will have about £3000 inc the sale of my sv to play around with my criteriors are good power delivery not to revvy good handling reliable £3000 or under beefy looking so any sugestions on what to get and what not to get ? i quite like the zx9r 2002 but is it to much bike ? |

plus if i was to keep the sv then i would have to do the front end and im not sure its worth the cost on a bike that cost me £1800 in the first place

K4 / K5 GSXR 750, handling of the 600 but less revvy engine nature. Might both be slightly out of your budget a little though. Are they to much bike ? depends if you have some self restraint and treat the throttle with respect then no...

tbh i dont think ur an idiot, i can relate to the urge of what ur doing, just cant risk the licence part. anyway, what about an old zx7r or 9r i hear they are pretty special and cheap, falcos are also cheap as is the SV1000 and they are all supposed to be good value for money bikes. |

Just stick with the SV...
It wont need a gsxr front end, cheaper way do the springs and oil, my suspension doesnt even need doing its great as it is + it will keep up with sports bikes with full power either that or try a litre twin, SVthou, VTRthou etc etc |
