Right i have tried searching and everything but top boxes came up hence this new thread.
Im getting to that time in my life when i think top boxes look cool as fook on a bike, no seriously, im thinking of getting one. I plan on doing more trips this year so need luggage, with and without pillion so a hard top box is on the agenda. Givi seems to be the brand that everyone uses, so im thinking of the 45litre one as it holds 2 full face helmets. Are there any pitfalls i should know about or any other brands that are just as good, are there any mounting issues etc. Thanks Phil |

Try E Bay, I got a Kappa box off it and paid £45. Kappa are a cheaper box made by givi i think and so fit on Givi racks, fitting should be no problem on an sv.

Top boxes look the nuts IMO ....
And surely anything that makes your bike more useable, which means you can ride it more often, and better (not having a rucksack on your back) .... has got to be a good thing !!! |

I got a Givi wingrack off ebay, Givi Maxia 52L and 2x Kappa 42L panniers. I had to buy a universal mounting kit brand new but everything else was dirt cheap compared to brand new prices. I now have huge amounts of luggage carrying and the pillion seat would still be useable.

Givi monorack, givi 45 litre box. it aint pretty, but damn it holds alot and it is water proof. Strong too so stuff is more protected.
at speeds over 110 mph you might get a topbox-induced weave, or you might not |
