Ok so neutral light does not work on the new dash (vapor dash) , the indicator lights work and all the other lights work on the dash like normal apart from the neutral light, i have checked the wiring from the clocks to the relay and no visible snags and it passes current using a multi meter so its not that bit of wiring.
it could be one of 3 things that has gone wrong, the flasher relay (as its called) might have blow even if the indicators still work (happen'd to some one on svrider site he grounded the wire by accident) the wire from the gear position sensor to the relay or the gear position sensor it's self has any one had a problem like this before ? and what do people thing the most likley cause is ? |

why not try reconnect the old neutral light and see if that works. if it dosnt then it must be the sensor!!!!

No, it's a good suggestion. Wire in a simple bulb on a couple of leads and connect them up to see if it is the neutral switch. Just remember that the neutral switch is in the live feed, there is always power down the cable going into it, and the switch earths out when in neutral to make a connection and bring the light on.

You need 2 threads on same problem?
What happens when you ground wire to light? I would just bypass relay as matter of course before it c*cks up.

Why are you running the neutral light wiring through the indicator relay?
