Default Loose disc rivets.

Hi all, last year i had to replace forks and spindle after i was writen off by some tit. A week or 2 after the repair one of my discs became extremely loose upon its rivots, I replaced it and the same has happened again. Its got alot of movement laterally and my front brake is very poor and pulsates like a shyt abs system. I cannot for the life of me figure out whats causing the same side to come loose twice in a row.

The brakes arent binding or anything, the only noticable difference is the new spindle seems to locate deeper into the fork lowers not siting flush but actually sitting 3 or 4mm deeper in. Would this upset the spacing enough to cause one of the discs to be over-stressed? Any help would be much appreciated as im down to me last spare disc. Thanks

Sounds like an alignment issue to me. Can you check if the new forks are straight?

Whats the best way to check the alignment. It seems to go straight enough. I didnt replace the crown as i didnt think it would have been bent however maybe this is the culprit. Wat do you think, could the crown/bottom yolk be bent?

do you mean the disc is loose on the bobbins if so its not unuseal some wear more than others,
not normaly a problem never herd of as disc falling of,just keep rideing it,the pulseing aint to do with the loose bobbons unless the disc is warped

Is it possible the calliper carrier got bent in the accident, so the calliper isn't exactly square to the disc? Check to see if the pads on the affected side are wearing evenly, or if they are wearing in a wedge shape

Thanks for all the replies, i will check out the calliper carrier this could be a goood call as in the accident one fork snapped totally and the front spindle bent badly which would obv put all the weight on the callipers. Cheers

suzukigt380paul, i have gone through 2 discs on the same side now. I no there should be a small amount of movement or 'float' but i can wobble it side to side in its bobbins about 30mm, i can def say that the fooked disc is doing very little braking and just moving about where its so loose.
