What's high mileage for an SV?

just a quick one gent and gentess's what would we say is high miles for one of these 650????

Mine's on 21k and that's only just broken in compared to some others I've seen. Good for 100k+ easy if well maintained. Everyone's going to tell you the same thing; it's all about whether it's been looked after tbh.

It's a modern bike, built with modern materials and modern design - how long is a piece of string? Its previous life and treatment are far more important than numbers, I know a couple of SVs with the thick end of a 100,000 on them that run just fine and haven't given any reason to think they'll give up anytime soon.
Of course I also know a few bikes with far, far less miles that I'd only use as a boat anchor.

Condition is everything. The numbers come second to that, a higher mileage bike that's been looked after is much preferable to a lower mileage one that hasn't.

I appreciate this doesn't immediately and obviously answer your question, but many bikes - quite a few SVs - and many years of experience tell me the above is entirely true.
