Default GMIV related stupid question

Hi Folks

If by some miracle I manage to pass my Mod 2 on May 11th I would love to go to this even though it might prove too demanding both physically and mentally for a newbie rider.

My mad question for this evening is......

Bare in mind Im VERY new to all of this........

If you are camping for the 2 nights, apart from a tent and sleeping bag, what do you all pack and where do you put it.

Once you are there and going out on the Bikes, where is it all kept etc.

There is only so much you can get in a backpack and Im sure you dont all go for panniers etc.

Just humour me please

Tank bag - I did the GM with just what I could hold in a tank bag. Did the same with the AR and will for most other ride outs.

The tent and sleeping bags were strapped onto the pillion seat (bungee cords or cargos nets) and wrapped in something waterproof.

Stuff you dont need on the ride out gets left on the campsite, though it's a good idea to carry valuable with you at all times (camera, wallet etc)

My must haves:

wallet/money
midge repellant (avon skin so soft, smidge)
torch
cup/mug & tea bags
toiletries
sleeping bag
tent
change of clothes

If you ride in textiles - layer up!

IMHO an inflatable mattress isnt essential, nor are ground mats and pillows, but if you have them and can fit them on then go for it.

Cheers folks and thanks for the tank bag offer. Might just take you up on it if I manage to attend.
