Default Which SV; the far better looking curvy or the badly built pointy?

Just been reading through a few threads and saw the following comment

Quote:

Now I like the look of the pointy, however was interested to see the comment about poorer build quality.

Is there a post/stick on these forums that lists the model numbers and the differences?

Cheers

Stu

its all the same budget suzuki build quality eg rusty bolts and no grease after that the carbed sv's are easier to fix (less electrics to f up)

I don't think anyone has ever compared the two models before. We all just accept that whether they are curvy or pointy they are both brilliant.

It's rubbish I have owned both and the pointy is fine, the curvy is a dated lady now and needs more care. Suzuki just can't make fixings like bolts for any bike.

Any bike will rust if neglected enough, the trick is not to let it get bad in the first place. If you use your bike every day, especially at this time of year, then you're going to have your work cut out to keep it smart, but there are some great sprays and cleaners on the market. I guess in the end it's just a question of how much you love her.....

Newer pointy has twin plug heads, avoid.

what problems does that pose, is it for reduced emissions?

Yes. Means you pay more when you need to change them and if you want to tune it the results are far reduced.
