It's FI for 'Fuel Injection'

Does the bike start?

Since you've had the tank off, you might have dislodged the tilt switch. It a little black box with a block connector of wires, that is supposed to sit in a rubber holder on the front of your battery box behind your tank, under the riders seat. If this isn't in the right position, or is hanging loose, the bike will think it's lying on it's side, will give an FI error, and won't start.

If it's not this do what was posted above about putting the bike into dealer mode. If you use the search function on this forum you'll get loads of threads that tell you how to do it and then tell us what your error code is.
