Default Which new helmet?

Evening all

I`m in need of a new helmet and I have about £150 to spend.

Does anyone have any recomendations? where to get them ( apart from a motorcycle shop )

Thankyou...

Don't understand sorry... you want somewhere to get them that isn't a motorcycle shop? So without trying it on?

Morning...

That was me trying to prevent sarcasm ( Someone was bound to say "motorcycle shop" ) but then again if someone in scotland recomends a motorcycle shop there`s no point as i`m in london and it`s a little to far to travel for a helmet. I`ve looked @ lids direct etc ( returns aren`t an issue as I work for a courier company and get shipping cheap ( like free most times ).

Rgds

You will get as many opinions as there are people on the forum! Do you want to narrow down the choice any such as :
Open, flip, full,
Internal sun visor or not
Polycarb or glass or carbon
Hi Viz colour, plain or jazz pattern
etc.

Personally I've just got the new Caberg Ego (as I wanted the sun visor, like it lots too) but like the Roof as well (prob not for <£150)

Infinity and Heingericke are both in Farnborough so not too far from you and both carry a range from £50 to £500 so lots to choose from.

Always try on before you buy to make sure it fits well and if possible buy from the shop you try on from to keep them in business so you can try on again next time too.

Try some on in the shops to seat what fits best and then buy online. They usually throw in some free helmet cleaner and free delivery if you spend over £100.

There are some try them on at a shop then order cheaper on line.
But if everyone does that soon there be no more shops.
PLus same lid same size doesn't allways have the same fit.
KBC ,HJC are nice value .

+1 for buying from a shop. Only time i ordered a lid online was from http://www.twowheel.co.uk/ because i could not get what i wanted in any of my local shops and it turned up next day and in two (one inside the other) fully padded boxes so i was very impressed with the service. On the other had my brother ordered one from J&S i think it was and it was very badly packed it might as well of been sent wrapped in newspaper, no padding at all just rattling round in a box eek.

Yeah. Try them on first. Even the same brand but different models I needed different sizes. I tried a bunch on and then found the one I wanted cheaper online.

+1 to buying from a shop. If you tell them an online price and barter you can sometimes get the price down.
