29th Sept Crofton ride-out ROCA

A tricky one to rate this as for most of the time I was unable to see either Thunderace or Fallout. The ride itself was in two stages. First stage a 20 bike ride-out to Crofton followed by the second stage a 3 bike ride out to somewhere out that way but not entirely sure where..

Mark_H for facilitating a ride and route finding for the second leg +4, for parking in a designated car park and using a genuine public convenience rather than a hedge -3, for managing to get wheel slip while on the edge of a tyre mid-overtake into a bend (with evidential mark on sidewall) +6, for finding the 2 epic b-roads +10, for finding a pub where you have to exit via a sign for the ladies toilet +2, for remembering enough of the two contradictory sets of instructions from the Diesel dolly and the other bloke to actually find the second epic b-road +6, for managing to actually find the petrol station +2, for having the foresight to track the route so we can try and find it again +2, for failing to "be pulled" by any attractive ladies on a ride-out -2, for failing to even be able to see Falout or Thunderace within 30 seconds of waving them past -23

Fallout and Thunderace effectively merge into one for this although some minor discrepancies. Points to be deemed allocated or deducted for both unless explicitly stated.

Good attendance with absolutely no moaning about start-times, routes etc +2, Excellent restraint through first leg +4, impressive display of green-laning skills on entirely inappropriate bikes +3, managing to get enough wheel-slip to take a slice out of the rear tyre while green-laning (TA only) +2, for deciding that just because someone was cutting the hedge on the other side it was inappropriate for 3 blokes to prepare bladders for the A338 (TA only) -2, for parking in a designated car-park and using a genuine public convenience rather than a hedge -3, for declaring that "This is where I was filmed for Bargain hunt" and clearly being a wanna-be celeb (FO only) -2, for not binning it on the B4001 despite being airborne for much of it +5, for keeping the faith as we crossed dry river-beds, home made bridges and a rope swing to get to the petrol station +2, for not even pretending to try and remember Diesel dollies instructions -2. for not binning it on the B4494 despite being super-sonic for much of it +5, for girly filtering into Newbuy -3 (any objection from TA that he was stuck behind FO indicates inability to find your own route when girly filterer gets in the way), general excessive bravery through much of the second leg, -11, for cable tying TA's crate back together before the ride clearly demonstrating that there are some things that cannot be fixed with WD40 and a hammer (FO only) +2, for supply of cable ties Spank +1.

Challenge commencing! I cable tied my "crate" back together. after stealing some from Fallouts shed, I mean bike, I mean deathtrap, well you know what I mean.

I'll let you have a bunch of your own on Friday.

I've got some but unlike Si I don't carry them on the bike in fear that at any moment the frame could implode!

Funnily enough, I left them on the side, and was going to leave them there until you specifically said we'd better take them in case YOUR bike falls apart!

Not bike, fairing c'mon it's cosmetic on my bike, but on the verge of disaster on yours!
