Default Falling out of love

Im inexplicably falling out of love with my bike

I just see it as a tool to go on rideouts with now, i dont yearn for it like i used too.

I feel like changing bikes but i cant justify it whatsoever, as i havent had the sv long enough, dont want to spend any more money, etc. I know i can sell the bike for a profit (discounting the paintjob, various crashes etc) and get something cheaper.

Feel free to mock me, i need it.

The hideous colour of the thing aint helping either methinks

It was formally standard silver. I lowsided it badly and decided to get the whole thing resprayed bright orange. Loved it at first but its quickly turning into loathing

It happens, I've been the before myself. Changing bike only helps for a short time, hence why I've had a few different ones over the years.
For the past couple of years I've pretty much had no inclination to ride at all but the urges do come back as they have done with me

Strip the front and make it a naked then!

It's easy enough to do, get the bits you need off eBay and that should keep costs down

It's happened to me. I lost interest year before last and literally rode 5 times the whole year.

It happens but I guarantee you'll be sat there on a nice sunny day and think "**** me I really want to go for a ride" and you enjoy it again. I do now.

That's like using your Playstation to play only one game over and over. If you use your bike for one thing, you'll quickly get used to it.

But use it for different things and you see its true worth. Have you been on a Tour? Trackday? Stunting ?

If you Tour on it, you'll fit it out for more comfort and luggage. Then get off and enjoy just being on a bike.

If you do trackdays you'll want to improve the handling and performance, add some bits and pieces and get the absolute most out of it. Etc etc ...

You'll get the motivation to do more stuff to it because there's a purpose. By the way, this kind of apathy can strike no matter what bike you have. Its just that with a more expensive bike you will do stuff to it simply to justify the expense of having it!
