Hi,
I have a Bronze SV650 SK3 with no modifications to the indicators at all - still stock. I am new to this forum and if it has been answered already then i apologize but has anyone had it where there indicators have literally stopped working? Mine stopped working a few weeks ago and since then i have replaced the fuse for the indicators and also the indicator relay and still nothing. When i press left or right on the left hand controls nothing happens, no lights come up on the panel to show they are on and no indicators flash at all. Turning the hazards on also does nothing. Along with this the fuel light doesn't come on when low on fuel but does light up when you turn the electrics on when starting the bike. According to the manual the fuel pump and indicators are linked in the indicator relay but i have changed that for a new one so if it was that then surely it would be working. Besides that the panel works fine with everything else. All wires are connected and not loose as well. If anyone else has had anything similar then please help or if someone could come up with any ideas that would be great... ![]() |

My bike has just developed a similar problem, so I sprayed out the switch gear with WD40 and things started to work again. I am guessing dirty contacts so I have now bought some electrical contact cleaner and will clean the switches and connectors properly with that.
I am not saying for sure that this is your problem, but start simple and work from there. If that fails it is time to get the test meter out. Good luck ![]() |

Get your WD40 with the straw and spray into all of the switches. Where the indicator switch sits, spray inside the housing and give it a good soaking. That should blast off any dirt. I have done this on my bike already and this has only worked a little, so I now have to remove the switch gear from the bar using the screws and clean them with the contact cleaner and a cotton bud. ![]() |

Will give this a go later on and quirt the switch to death. I do use it everyday so there could be some dirt from the rain in there. If i remove the switch gear like you are going to and clean the contacts and nothing works then am guessing it will need taking to the shop to get some electrical testing. I have checked the harness under the fairing and that seems ok so....
