Tapatalk app free for ios at the moment

Just grabbed a copy finally so I can use it on the ipad. Thought some others might not have it yet.

Couldn't do without it on the iPhone.

I had a go with it expecting them to have improved on a solid platform but was disapointed and returned to the original version.
I think half of it was me not being ar$ed to learn the new layout etc though so just me being a bit lazy...

I have new tapatalk only cause im a theiving bastuard its ok tbh abit wierd and futuristic

Can't do without it? I've never used it in my life, we have 2 iPhones and 1 iPad in our house, all never seen crapatalk.


If it was so essential, it would be on there from purchase surely?

I prefer it for viewing forums on the iPhone because you don't have to keep pinching/spreading your fingers on the screen to zoom to read text, it's formatted so that everything fits nicely on the screen and threads are easier to navigate than online on a small phone screen.

Also the push notifications are great for instant alerts to my own threads and/or subscribed threads when I'm not even logged into the org so no constant checking back all the time. This feature also means that PMs come through to my phone in the same way a text message would and I can give a prompt reply. It also lets me know when someone has quoted one of my posts.

I don't work in an office sat at a computer so I find the app makes viewing multiple forums (yes, not just this one, sorry) much more simple as they are all in one place.

I'm happy with what it offers and feel it works well for me. Nobody said tapatalk was compulsory but you could try it before knocking it?

I've never used it before but as dkid said, pinching to zoom is a bit of a pain in with web viewer on a small iphone screen so I'll give it a go. Already had to turn notifications off as I'm clearly subscribed to far too many threads.
