Default Does anyone know....?

does anyone know what road and exactly where this road that Jeremy Clarkson is driving on top gear right now? I know it's in Hertfordshire as he said so at the start of the film, but i'd like to know exactly where! as I live not very far from Letchworth and would quite like to go and explore theses roads!

I'm pretty sure I've driven that road, sorry to break it to you Chris but there are no mountains near your house but I think that might be near Pitlochary in Scotland.

He was definitely in Pitlochry, assuming it was the usual Top Gear wind up

I realise there aren't any mountains near me, ta, but i'd still like to know where the roads that were used are because they're good looking n i'd like to try them out myself.

Pitlochry is in Scotland! Bit of a way from Watford.

I did wonder how Hertfordshire had managed to slip some mountains in under the radar without anyone noticing

I did wonder if it was really Scotland but it wasn't raining heavily so that threw me.

I did a driving holiday in Scotland. 16 days, London to the most northern point of the mainland via T in the Park and Isle of Skye without any motorways. In that whole time it drizzled a bit on just one afternoon. The rest was glorious sunshine.

I was wondering if it could be the IoM where he lives?

Apparently he has a very good relationship with the authorities who have no problem closing roads for TG if they ask !!

But just to confirm, it DEFINITELY wasn't Hertfordshire !!

It's actually in Hampshire (links Guildford to Basingstoke but not signposted) and was one of the roads we considered for the AR but it was a bit too far from the lunchstop so we chopped it out.
