Is the sv650 with 4 spark plugs any smoother running than the model with only 2 ?
I have seen a newer model and just needed some advice please. |

Not having had the older model, I can't give a competent reply however I would say that mine (a 2013 model) is very smooth. I think that they would have put the extra plugs in to clean up the emissions above and beyond anything else.

Smooth for v-twin maybe , lumpy as **** compared to an in-line 4
![]() Twin plugs were for emissions.

from what i have seen the twin spark is better on fuel. smoother? it all depends on the state of tune.
