Default She's dead Jim.

Just coming home down a dual carriageway and the bike went through a few stages,

Sv650s 2001 (cheers bib )
1) Very slight loss of power, thought i was imagining it
2) Sound emissions go through the roof, at the time i thought i had blown a hole at the top of my exhaust (its old and rusty)
3) Definite loss of power, doing 50mph 5k revs'ish in 6th
4) Bike cuts out whilst riding, just before a joining slip road (thank god nothing was coming) I manage to get to the side of the road cruising with clutch in.
5) See title, bike will not start, starter clicks but thats it.
6) I push it home for 2 miles, almost threw up and my legs and arms are now wobbly...who invented hills?

New engine? New bike? New life? Really has been one of those weeks

^previous woes within 3 days include:

A) a relationship (of sorts) breakdown
B) not getting paid this month, changed banks and somebody (work or the bank) cocked up updating my details...hassle free, do nothing, we shall do it all they say...MEH
C) some pleb leaves his lights on, comes out at 10pm after work to find the car lifeless. luckily scrounged a lift and jump start

Got no technical help for you but: Chin up lad. When you're going through hell, keep going. This chunk of crapness you're going through cant last forever, so break it down & try to fix one problem at a time. Either that or get the whiskey out

Think you may of got it in one bib. Looking like poor maintenance, she was a litre down, last filled (to full line) 13/7/13 on 49722. Now on 50429, so she has drank a litre in 700 miles? No signs of any leaks on my patio.

Is she a gonner? or is it recoverable

This is yet another reminder that it's a really good idea to check the oil every time you get the bike out, something I am going to try and get into the habit of doing!

Fingers crossed for ya!
