Default Moto Oiler?

€90 delivered to UK...

Rather go with a scottoiler at that price.

Anyone used them before?

Default Moto Oiler??

Ok well I've decided to go down my own route of making one myself...

Shouldn't cost more than £10 in parts

I have had a Scottoiler on my SV for ever, works well.

I fitted a PD Oiler to my NC700, there's no vac tapping for a std Scotty and I didn't really want to start dismantling it to create one, so either a Tutoro type or an electronic seemed easiest. The Scotty electronic ones are horrendously expensive. So far the PD Oiler works very well, the only gripe is the refilling and the std one has an opaque reservoir so you need to use the "dipstick" it comes with, not ideal. Just an alternative for consideration.

Well I've decided not to fork out nearly £100 for any chain oiler. Max £30 so here begins my journey to an automatic chain oiler for under that price.

So far I have purchased the following:

Shopping list:
12v Dosing pump
12v moter speed controller
various barbed connectors
2m of tubing
non return valves

to buy/free/smaples/up cycled:
Control box (to hold all the bits)
Container for the oil
On / Off Switch (might not bother)
Timer / Relay with delay and loop function

I see this going under the rear seat, hooking up to the lights or similar so that it only doses oil to the chain when the bike is running. (similar to the scottoiler, but that uses a vacuum)

I've orders 90% of the parts from china so I doubt there will be much updte until about end of march time when they (hopefully) will have all arrived.
