Default GSXR K1 front end problem

Just building my front end back up after a fork rebuild, its a curvy with a K1 Gixer front end.

I think my front wheel has the incorrect hub spacer in it as the axle bolt doesnt fully locate and therefore the disc doesnt have enough clearance on the fork leg.

Just wanted to see if anyone can spot an error on my part before I go and order a new spacer, knock the old one out to compare.

I got my camera wrong way round, apologies for having to tilt your neck !!

Its always been like this the last owner had rectified it by putting a washer on the axle nut to bring the wheel over. I just want it proper like !

To my knowledge there were two different length axles on the Gixxers, at one point I had a K1 600 front with an axle that was too short. I assumed at the time that a part had been mixed up or purchased incorrectly by the seller. I think I sourced another from ebay and got the seller to confirm the length and it was longer and fit fine.

I see on Robinsons foundry they list 2 axles. I was also looking through the parts and see the srad spacer is different to the k1-3 spacer.

Ive either a srad front end or k1 or k2/k3. Any idea how I can tell them apart??

Caliper mounts are different, can you post a pic they are easily identifiable. calipers more triangle shape on srad more rectangle on y-k3 models.

Also coloured anodised fork top cap/adjusters on k1-3 on SRAD they were clear (silver) anno.

If you have srad spacer that would fk job up as srad spacing was wider 214 vs 207mm

Is it catching both sides or just one? SRAD wheel hub is also wider (wheel different shape so you can tell them apart)

Better pics in my first post Chris, whats the verdict boss?
If you can see the GSXRK1 axle doesnt tighten fully and the nut pushes everything over to the right hand fork, where the disc fouls the fork leg.

Have the anodised, blue, preload adjusters on mine

Yup Jamie they are indeed mine.

I have looked through evil bay and I have a srad wheel in her, and she has k1-3 top and bottom yoke. Is it as simple / expensive as the wrong front wheel?

I really appreciate all your input boys.

Just found Sam's fork chart and it gives outside of bearing to outside of 129.5 on the k's and 136.5 on the srad, mine measures 129.5

Well bloody confused now !!

if you have a K1-K3 forks then yes you have the wrong front wheel. you need the 'diamond' spoke version, you have an srad wheel. you need one that looks like http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUZUKI-GSX...kAAOSwbwlW~760
