Default new handlebars

Do you think this would this be a good look for an SV? At least the mudguards would cut the spray down.

Now I know why they called those style of handlebars 'ape-hangers', pretty much every US state has laws on the max height of bars at about 18" above seat, although in some states there is no legal requirement to wear a crash helmet ( Florida is one IIRC ).
