Default Hein G: no sign of nice new stock, dont all rush at once

Well, clutching my new copy of the HG catalogue I nipped down to HG in Bristol. I was especially interested in the tiny tank bag about the size of a mobile phone (well a bit bigger) and a backpack and some other things. Normally I woudl post some pics but the UK website is being updated...and my German is not so good.

But before you all rush out folks, the news is dont bother just yet. Theres virtually nothing in store of the new stuff. So cant get it in store, and website under development.

Seems like a bit of stock before they push the new catalogue out would have been a good idea.
Now Im not knocking HG, just surprised. I find their stuff good value, and the staff normally helpful. 'Thing is we dont know when its coming through, depneds on head office, dont tell us....', hmmm a little unusual.

On the latter note, I was surprised to see the usual faces absent in Bristol and a couple of chaps who seemed a little less than clued up. So I hope things return to normal at one of my more favourite shops

SO I thought oh well Id wander up to Motorcycle City or whatever just around the corner (ok, this is a little Bristol specific story-wise now, but I know some folks come from afar to call in there) and the shutters were down. Maybe its just closed on Mondays

Same thing happened two years ago. Their German parent company treats the UK market with something akin to disdain it seems.

i know all the staff at the welling store (kent) and often go on ride outs with them. hg have just had all of there computer systems updated so that they now know what stock is avaiable around the uk in realtime so it does not take them hours phoneing around all the stores in the uk looking for items this caused a major back log of orders for them as they could not do any costomer ordering during the update. the guys at welling tell me everything will kosher very soon but they like to get shot of last years stock before stocking up with the new gear. so great deals in most stores. i got a great deal on a two piece set of leathers last years style under half price tears of joy at my saving

Is it just me, or are the Celtic leathers butt-ugly? The Tribals were pretty good, but that big star in teh middle of the celtic range just looks stupid, IMO... Might mean thetribals are going cheap soon Cheaoer, that is

There's some nifty things in there, I really like the emergency kit that fits behind your number plate- I'd change the contents but it's a very good idea...
