Default little flap

just got my new svs yesterday and while fitting lower fairing i noticed a little flap at the radiator to cover the front pot,is this a new thing to stop the water getting into spark plug and does it work, or should i take other precautions too.

The flap does quite a good job - I never had any problems with mine, but if you are going to ride all year round then I'd get a fender extenda.

cheers

i dont like the look of huggers! i like to see all the back wheel so i did a simaliar thing on the back,i hung a 4" wide piece of butil rubber down in front of that hugger shield thingy on the swingarm! it protects the shock a treat! and it cost's nowt.

Changed my plugs along with oil and filter this weekend. The plugs have only been in for 4500 miles Ish and the front one had started to corrode The back one was fine. I HAVE a fender extender fitted and the bike still runs pants in the wet gonna slap some non conductive grease in to seal it better.
