Anyone got one ?

Having a look at one in the dealers tuther day.
I always expected that they would feel huge and unwieldy.
Yet it actually seemed quite small

Yup, on avergae 1800 miles to a rear if youride gently, also a bit of a barge when it comes to conering, but will go round if pursuaded.

Yep, i have one! brilliant bits of kit! finish is pretty good but expensive to run! in 6000 miles i have used 5 rear tyres, 3 front tyres and 3 sets of front pads (1 set broke up - EBC!), keep an eye on the oil level, as mine uses a bit when hammered! the only critisism is the front brakes are ****e as standard - i have goodridge hoses, braking wavey discs and performance friction pads now, and the suspension made my bike run wide everywhere and bloody hard work, i had HM racing (perry leask) change the front springs and set up the suspension for me and it made a huge difference . if you have no self control or restraint think long and hard! also check you can insure it!

If you like the curvey roads then forget about a Busa. Awesome bike but not made for throwing around on tight bends etc.

my Gixer has done in the region of 6500 miles I've just fitted my fourth rear tyre to it.

Its not just busa's that eat rear tyres

why do folks always say that busas dont go round bends? have they actually ridden one or is just what "they" say.

Busa's go round bends really well, its not a blade or an R1 but its still better than the majority of bikes, its how you ride it , ive ridden a busa and can say for sure that it cornered better than my SV, my mate had one, and only a lunatic/fantastic rider could pass him in bends, the busas got bigger balls than most riders thats all, people look at them and think there barges ? why?

another pal has just got one, hes less than 10 st and he can make it do things in bends that would terrify mortal men,

however i have to agree that they shred consumables, pal no 1 commented when he sold his that when hed worked it out in the year he had it ,it cost the same in consumables, tires, pads, chain sprocket as hed paid in fuel

his best on a rear was 1200 miles , worse just under 500

Not ridden one, but as the 'busa is still a member of the GSXR family, I cant see that it would be too shabby in the bends.
