Default crassh bung problem

i am wanting to fit crash bungs to my 99 sv650s with lower fairings BUT i can not see the holes were they fit. i know where they go but the fairings cover it as you can see on pakrikuks bike (sorry 4 nickin a pic of your bike pat)he could get to the holes,so the bungs that fizzwheel said will fit ,wont


mybee my bike has been crashed & the fairings have moved but i dont think so
i have not got a camra to post a pic but will try to lend one later

im very confused

You need to cut the fairing to fit some of the crash bungs, the old style R&Gs need the fairing cut

The new style R&Gs don't IIRC

but, should my lower fairings cover where you fix the bungs to , ican only see about 20%of the fixing place,so i dont think any bung with a streight bolt will fit???

Thats the old style. bung.

The new bungs mount differently and clear your lower fairing.

The ones in the photo are CBR600 I think?

Not sure if there's any frame differences between your '99 and my '02 but view this thread to see picks of how mine mounted

These are the "new" R&Gs (or at least they were last year when I fitted them).

bloody hell you didn't want to buy my bike but now you want yours to look like mine

I had to cut the lower fairings. Only took be 5 mins for both sides & looks good.

patrick, it does not look like you have cut the plastics,it looks like a good job....
