Default Alternative to Autocom ?

As the title suggests really, are there any alternatives to the Autocom systems and are the alternatives any good ?

I would be grateful if there are any owners of these alternatives to speak up and tell me of your experiences.

Have to agree with Viney. Was watching some bike clips on you tube last night and the ones without music were so much better.

I've got a Vixen Intercom, no problems with it at all. And don't have to worry about fitting speakers and filtering out wind noise. Even works with my phone...

I have an oxford bike mic.

Cost me 85.00 from a local bike shop. Comes with two mics, two headsets that are wired into the helmet and the control box, it has a jack for an mp3 player and a mobi if wanted.

If you are talking to your pillion and your phone goes it isolates the pillions speakers so they cannot hear you. If you have the mp3 player on and you talk, the mp3 player is muted until you stop talking.

100+ mph on the A303 dual carriage way and it was clear as a bell.
Best bit of kit i have bought

I bought Bike Mike about 2 years ago and I couldn't believe how cheap and flimsy it felt for the price. If you press slightly on the control unit it cuts out because the case is made out of cheap plastic. My one had the build quality of a 90s £5 Bush hi-fi system. I only had an open face helmet at the time so it only worked to about 45-50mph at the time. It might be better with a closed face helmet or perhaps I had an older model.

I had a oxford bike mic and it packed up, so took it back to the shop... packed up again. I got my money back and then got the vixen at the NEC.
