Mystery Rattle (bike noise, limited info) - SV650.org

Got a mystery rattle between 3500 - 4000 revs at the front end.

Seems liked something is loose but I've tried wobbling everything and seems tight.

Any Ideas ???

Loose spark plug or bar end or clock glass

Have you checked that your belly support is tight

THIS IS THE SAME THING!!!! thank god its not just my bike, does it sound something similar to a vibration?? or a clicking?? and yes it happens about 4000 to 6000 i think after that Whatever it is,
is rattling so fast that you just dont hear it i always thought it was under my tank near my yokes, i am 90% sure its not my engine
oh lord it needs a service.

I'm just over 13k on my bike so not long til the 14.5k major service. Dealer said cam tensioners but it aint that. It seems to be around the clocks somewhere and its starting to annoy the s### out of me! Yes vibration/clicking like 50 angry mice banging on the skirting board!

Is it possibly just the noise the engine makes at that rpm? I know the sound you mean.... i've 61k kms on it now and no bother...valve clearences etc still perfect.

checked ya mirrors???? i had it on my k5 toomk it to garage and they didnt have a clue... much use they were it was only when i was going home i noticed car was blurred in mirror lol

Ah which reminds me...check the two bolts that hold on the fairing support...
Just forward of the ignition barrell on the headstock and down ....

I lost one at some unknown time, and when the other one loosened I had an entirely loose front fairing/clocks/mirrors etc.
Not what you need in the dark on a motorway.

That was 20thou kms ago, and they havent budged since
