Hello,
I just joined the forum. I'm 17 and looking for an SV650 to restrict to 33bhp. I was wondering if the SV650S version without the fairing can have a fairing fixed? I was just curious since I would prefer a fairing on my bike. This is incase I find a good priced SV650S and want a fairing. Sorry if it's a dumb question. Thanks. ![]() |

The SV650S is the faired version and you can have a full fairing fixed onto it.
The SV650 is the naked one i'm sure someone has fitted a fairing but why not just keep looking for the S version if that is what you want as by the time you have figured out how to fit it and bought fairings etc you may as well have paid the money for the faired one. IMHO Hello and welcome btw |

the SV650 comes in two flavours the SV650S which has a fairing and the SV650 which doesn't, although it is possible to add or subtract from either model, it's not just a bolt on job and requires more involved modification, so generally it'd be a " not worth it" job ( do a search on "naked to faired" or the other way round), after market fairing are available for naked bikes, but these tend to be bar mounted.
Cheers Mark

I am assuming that you mean that you want to fix lower fairing - the SV650s comes with a bikini fairing as standard. You can fit lowers so long as you can find a set within your price range. Buying new can be a tad on the expensive side! It was over £400 to put new lowers on my new SV650s.

If I understand you correctly, you want to know if you can buy a naked bike, then convert it to a faired SV later on?
It can be done, so I've been told...but not something a dealer would normally do for you. You would have to work out what parts you needed, including any wee fiddly brackets, clocks and so on, buy them from Suzuki for silly money or hope the bits come up in E-bay or this forum. Then you'd be on your own to fit it all together. I know cuase I had a similar idea when I was deciding what SV to buy! Just went for the naked because it was cheaper! ![]() |
