Default Recommend me.....a gift for £1000

A mate of mine is turning 40 (which is the new 30) and his filthy rich brother has told him he can have a prezzie to the value of £1000!

Bloody hell. Anyway, we are talking about that man who already has everything so what does he want?

The only caveat is that it can't be bike related, otherwise he'll just (just!) get a set of Hideout leathers and he wants to be more imaginative...

How about a nice "down payment" on joining ClubGT?
Costs £250 for membership, followed by an initial payment of anything from £2000 to £3750.
Then he gets to drive some very nice cars that he would otherwise (probably) never have a chance of owning
Pete

EDIT:
p.s. might also want to look at these ...

Deposit toward a stay at the new space hotel?

I would think one of those experience days car/shooting/flying etc etc would probaly go down well.

Lots of people would go for a holiday or a cruise or somesuch. Personally I reckon the ideal present is something you want, but would never buy yourself.

My POV entirely. Particularly something you'd really want, but could never justify buying yourself (say a £1K worth of snap on tools for a home mechanic, etc.)

Northy and Ceri are nearest the bull so far (hey, what about a bull?) with the tools you wouldn't buy yourself idea. Once you get into the pro stuff £1000 doesn't go that far of course but I personally like the idea of sliding my ball bearing suspended Snap-on tool chest drawers open and closed. Mmmm.

Wonder if I could steer him towards a full monty Knockhill Experience for him and a dear, dear friend...
