That's good news! At least he had the sense to realise that he shouldn't be out on the road any more. At least lets hope that keeps him off the road

I'd also say fair play to the guy for doing so- it must be a hard thing to do- give up your means to really get around and accept that you're no longer fit to drive. How many people don't do this because of their reliance of a car to get them about?

That would be a tough decision to make. Especially if you are older and rely on it to get you and your wife around. I couldnt imagine having to give up myself.
