Default Headlights - Philips Xtreme Power

After a wet ride home one evening after work, I was a tad miffed at how poor the standard curvy headlight bulbs were. In fact I thought that a candle may have been brighter so I decided that some new bulbs were needed. Reviews suggested Osram Silverstars or some Philips GT150s however the shop that I popped into had recently started selling Philips new Xtreme Power bulbs, which had only just come out, for £30 - the same price as Halfords own bulbs without the 2 for 1 offer.

These are 80% brighter than standard bulbs (other ones are normally stated at 50%), DOT legal and legal for road use and are safe to use with plastic lenses. As soon as I put them in, I could see the difference (and the road at night now) and whilst they have a partial blue ring on the glass, they omit a white light and only look blue right at the edges - not noticable when moving

I've had them about two months now and I recon that they are damn good and although I don't know what the other recommended bulbs are like, I really suggest that if you're in the market for new headlight bulbs, you should add them to your shortlist.

Are these still 60/55w or are they 85/100s? Does anyone know if 85/100s are o.k for an sv, will the loom/battery e.t.c handle it?

Shifter, these bulbs have been discussed in detail many times. Search is your friend. These are 60/55W as they are 'E' marked and road legal. Any H4 drawing more power than this will not be 'E' marked and not road legal.
