Talking Is anyone > 6ft 3" and riding an SV happily?

Simple question really.

I'm the usual English stereotype - tall, dark, red blooded, handsome male.....

<cough>

Wondering if anyone else with a similar build finds the bike comfortable...or not comfortable?

Its a weird one - everyone said I'd not be comfortable on an SV because they're made for shorter bodies and the riding position is pretty forward which means for a taller person theres more...folding......to be done

(- "not lanky b***tards like you" I think was the phrase, if I recall)

Question is still open anyway - please chip in if you're in the same (large) boat

I'm about that height and found it a bit rough to start with. I bought a double bubble and some heli bars and its much better. Although my right knee does ache on long journeys. I think i'll get used to it though as its my first ever road bike i'm probably just being soft.

I'm 6'5" and weigh (ahem) rather a lot. I find the SV can give me painful legs because my knees are bent too far up, but it's a problem I have with other bikes too. Not as bad as a race-rep, not as good as a supermoto.

TBH, the biggest problem I have is that, as many have said to me in the past, I make the SV look like a minimoto...

I'm 6'4" and I don't find it a huge problem. I've just ordered double-bubble screen, which should help me on the motorway. As someone else said, I find my knees tend to get a bit achey on long journeys. I commute for over an hour each way every day and that's fine. Do any of you other tall guys on SVs have crash bungs? I think they might get in the way of my knees... Hope not, I ordered those too.

I'm 6'4" too, and I'm fine on the bike. I think as long as you're reasonably fit and your joints work well enough, then it's no problem. I've got r&gs fitted to mine and they don't get in the way at all, you don't know they're there.
