Anyone know which of the 3 wires is the positive feed to the rear light/brake light?

as both model versions have different rear lights it may be useful to state which, unless of course it's your bike (zx6man)

Which one? Rear or brake, they both have a positive feed and share a common earth. iirc

Autocom says either wire to tail light or brake light

Right I'd go to the tail light as presuming she rides with the lights on its a continous feed.
The live for the light is brown, presuming you need to pick up an earth as well, that's black with white tracer.

No they're not, you'll only get the tail lights on when the ignition is set to "park" or when "on" and also the sidelights switch is on. This stays on when you put the headlights on.
If you want a switched live feed then you could go to orange wire out of the ignition switch, but make sure anything you do here doesn't interfere with that wires current carrying ability.

On mine, the brake light and tail light wiring is identical
