Default Lopsided Chicken Strips.

I did my first ever track day yesturday at snetterton. It was a great day and it is a great circuit for novices.

My tyres look really silly now though. Chicken strips have all but gone on the right hand side, and plenty nice blisters on the rubber to show off to my mates. The left hand side though still looks brand new. Bloody snetterton!! I think i need to find a circuit with some left hand turns.

Do they ever do track days where you go anti-clockkwise - that way you could get twice as many sessions out of a set of tyres.

this is a major problem as most tracks are clockwise with more right handers than left!

i do this on roundabouts, and on RH bends, left handers i tend to take a bit easier because of the obvious bike / oncoming traffic conflict of something goes wrong

Same here, no strip on the right, huge one on the left!

Tracks are predominately RH turns, but Snetterton is really a RH turn circuit. That and Mallory (although I think that has a chicane now). But most other tracks have enough LH turns to scrub the left up too

For LH turns, Rockingham national is your best bet

Oooh good, that is where I am going and I prefer left handers for some reason!
