Just a few questions. I recently got a SRAD 600 shock off a friend who didn't get round for using it for one of his projects and need to find out the following:
Can I use the original bolts from the SV shock? How much cutting away will the battery box need and does the tank hinge need any cutting? The shock is 38mm longer than standard. How will that compare to say a 12mm drop at the front. Will it be more or less responsive? How do you change the spring? Also if anyone has fitted an SRAD shock to their curvey and could help out with basic compression and tension settings that they found worked well please let me know. Any help will be appreciated Hopefully fitting it this afternoon |

38mm longer shock will give you a massive increase in ride height, I used the SRAD750 shock which is shorter. It'll be twitchy!
The spring's quite soft, I had to use all the preload adjustment to get anything like right sag. Ended up with rebound at SRAD stock setting and compression something like 1/4 turn softer |
