arai helmet help

hey

i managed to break the top clip of one of the side pods on me helmet just by raising it. do i need to go back to place a bought helmet from or contact arai themselves to get another.also helmet is only 11 months old - do i have to pay for it or will i ge one for free? anyone needed one before?

My Dad dropped his Arai on the floor and the top vent bit broke off. He sent it to Arai to get checked out (for free) and they also glued a new vent on the top.

If you got it from a recognised Arai dealer (somewhere like Hein Gerick) you should be able to take it back to them and they'll do the rest!

cheers mate. yeah it was from hein gericke so will bunk off work early and take it to them.

yeah went into hein gericke. ordered a new one (£18 seems pricey for a small bit of plastic) and they lent me a spare pod till mine arrived which was very nice of them.

they had no idea how long the pod would take to arive and said they have waited months in the past. still got me a working visor so all good (if not matching now).

Arai made a quick turn around with my helmet parts.

I just ordered new pods on the internet and fitted it myself. Think it cost me around £20 for both sides posted.

haha dam it - should have looked on interweb first. eh well least i know for the next time it happens.
