Default bike crash

Well just got back from a+e from an eventful crash :/ was filtering down stand still traffic to a set of road works when someone decided to pull out of there drive and not look, by the time i saw the car i was on the floor tbh (i was doing bout 20-25mph). Bikes fudged good and proper, garage are saying its a write off so ! even dented the tank with my balls! no broken bones thankfully just bit battered and bruised, so whats the idea insurance wise is this claimable? policeman seemed to think it was

Tell her to stuff it. It's her responsibility to ensure that the space she's trying to pull out into, isn't occupied by someone already using that bit of the road. Or something like that.

You'll be fine mate, just maintain that you were looking around, observing correctly, going under the speed limit and she came out of nowhere and hit you. Job done.

Take lots of photos of the area where it happened. Right a wee piece on the back and a covering letter, ready to give to your lawyer.(Appointed or not.)

Glad your ok dude. No grey area about it....... claim for everything. (Kit/inconvenience/ loss of earnings/ public transport etc.)

I never claimed personal injury in a similar situation ,as I was not and also if you were not injured in a bike crash you could not have been going fast! Right?
