+1 for this. I've got flush mounts on the front and have just bought some Oxford LED rears so a standard flash rate would be nice.
Is it possible to mix bulbs and LEDs on one system using the 'LED' relay and retain the appropriate flash rate?

Yup.

Same answer to both people really, there's two ways to approach the problem. The reason that the indicators flash fast when using LED's anywhere in the circuit, is that LEDs have a lower power usage than bulbs, and the stock relay uses the power draw to calculate it's timings.

Two fixes, either add some resistors to the circuit (but only really an option if you're happy with a soldering iron in your hand), or buy a relay that doesn't use circuit power as a factor in timing.

Something like the Motrax Flash It will do, and you can get those so they plug straight into the stock wiring. NB, That's no endorsement for either the Flash It relay or the shop I just linked you to - I've no personal experience of either. I just know others have used the Flash It relay in the past & that was the first result in google.

The original relay is part of a multi-relay which is under the seat next to the fuseblock. You need to take out the brown and light blue wires. Take the relay block off and stick a tweezer end or something small and pointy down there and you should just be able to pull the wire out. I don't know the wiring for the Motrax relay but there's only two orientations they can go on and it won't do any harm if they're the wrong way round.
