Default Rear LED lights on a curvy?

So my heated grips controller kept saying "no" today, cutting out probably because the cold ment my battery had a potential difference under 12V (its been working fine all the other, warmer, days). So I was wondering what I could do to reduce my electrical power consumption...

LED tail lights / brake lights seemed like a good idea, but can you get them for curvy models?

Matt

Or you can get a LED rear light unit from M&P for £43 I think these ones are actually an LED panel rather than just the bulbs, slightly more expensive though. I had LED bulbs in mine but they caused issues with the lights i.e the parking light and dash lights coming on when the front or rear brake is used.

I would return the heated grips. Useless

You shouldn't have to mod your bike just to get their crappy grips working

Seems like a bad bodge. Alternator supplies way more than enough boot for that, ask yourself why is it not charging up to 14v like it should be?

+1 I got a pair from husky and they are brighter and more intense (safer) straight swap with OEM, easy

Hi Matt,

You can't have noticed them on my Sv then?

Got two bulbs and a rear clear cover for about 30 quid from Busters years ago.

Been absolutely fine. In fact wideboy has them on his bike now.

But as the others have said I'd be wanting to know why there are charging issues.

Sounds like a earthing problem, same a me, though I'm suspecting a voltage leak in the circuit now. Hopefully the new loom should fix that as the running of earths has not.
