Sounds like a bargain. I've got a Jett heated vest, but it was considerably more than twenty squid.

Nice one, I know this is is cheap. But honestly if it lasts the winter I will be so chuffed. I only have a 17 mile commute to work so I can just leave it on all the way. Cool, or rather hot lol.

Only bad thing I can see is this:

A) OK - this should be used in the following way; turn on the power for a few minutes to warm up the jacket - turn off. It is not deisgned to be powered up constantly and if used in this way the batteries will last no more than 40 to 50 minutes

Might be tricky on the bike

My commute is around 35-40 minutes each way. That's new batteries for both trips each day. Not so sure that's such a good investment.

Off the bike I'd say yes. But not as a commuting tool.

I got this £20 heated jacket http://www.primrose-london.co.uk/hea...ket-p-450.html It comes with a lead to run it off your bike's battery so no batteries required

6AA batteries = 9v, so you couldn't direct wire it to your bike if you wanted....

...mind you it May heat up quicker than 5 minutes!

Its ok for short trips. My ride is 17 miles each way, I switch on when I leave ride the 17 miles its gets warm not hot about halfway and the batteries last me a week. Or if they are rechargeables then I have to charge them twice a week. So its ok for short cold trips but i agree not an ideal commuter kit. Probably best go for the http://www.jett.us.com/ as commented by Wydness above, afterall its a get what you pay for product to be fair. Mine was only twenty quid.

I have lots of rechargeable AA's but yes running it off the bike would be better.

You sure its that one as it doesn't mention a lead on the link.
