Default Polishing up the forks

I've got the polishing kit and slowly getting round to using it. Starting with the forks (thanks to Pete pointing out the state of them! ) Now the thing I need to know is how to protect all my hard work after they're done. Do I lacquer them or does that go funny after a while? Over to Lissa!

Don't re-laquer, a total waste of time. It'll just get scabby again

Just wiping them over with WD40 will keep them looking good most of the time, with an occasional good going over with solvol autosol
