Jobseekers Allowance
The gf's contract is ending end of June so since she hasn't got a job lined up I thought I'd sign her up till she gets a job.
We live together and as such I was advised by jobcentre people to put in her status as Common Law!!! It then went on to ask me how much I earned and what was our combined savings!!! So am I right to believe that they anticipate that my gf will have access to my savings? And this is not an issue in our case but generally speaking why do they think if 2 people are living together that they would share everything??!! Is the system wrong is it my thinking? |
