Default No bikers allowed

Went for a bit of a ride out yesterday to Hartside etc and on way back home i thought i would pop into Witton Castle for a cuppa at the cafe and to my disbelief i was greeted with a big barrier for which i needed a token? So i walked to the little office and was greeted with a loud "no bikers" from the lady inside. She went on to explain that i could go in if i was in a car but not in leathers or on a bike WTF. She told me the new owner did not want hairy as**d bikers in his property, which is odd because he will have a few thousand bikes there soon for the stormin the castle rally. Sorry to go on but just wondered if this kind of discrimination is allowed as my bike is my only form of transport as i dont drive. As you can tell it annoyed me quite a bit so am i right to be peeved.

Private land, they can choose who to let onto it if they wish.

However I WOULD make the organisers of the upcoming event know...

Shame......I thought bikers had finally earned some respectability! it was like that everywhere 30+ years ago - there was only a handful of pubs and cafs we could go in

You're letting a barrier and a grumpy old lady stop you?

In all seriousness... that sucks though! Seems pretty pointless.
