It looks like I may be in a position to get a new bike within the foreseeable future (read Christmas just after hopefully/maybe), now under my normal criteria that wouldn't be a problem, but, this is something new to me, this is payment to myself for 3 years suffering, it's what I promised myself and unlike any other bike I've owned; durability isn't the most important thing, this is an indulgence.
what am I looking for? a.) doesn't have to be new, not fussed about age more condition. b.) must be no more than 200kg wet (lighter is better). c.) around the 90-100 bhp mark at least. d.) able to be modded for a shifter and left foothanger plate or something along those lines. e.) have that special something that ticks the right boxes with me. f.)budget £10k cash max* Bit of background, currently I have a Triumph S4, a Speed triple special project, CCM 404 & CB750F2 as a working stable, had just about everything bike wise over the last 30 something years, and by todays standards do far to much (is there such a thing) mileage. My left knee is buggered and can be very painful so although my current bike is ss6 type riding position I need an adaptor plate for the left hanger, even then gear changes are still painful. Most of the bikes I like will be far to heavy for me, and I'm still not absolutely sure I can bring myself to part with that much money on a bike and may bottle it and spend less, but basically after ideas. Here's some I've vaguely though about to give you some idea. Moto Morini Corsaro Ducati S4RS Testastretta MV Agusta Brutale 910 (or the 750) CCM FT35s Yes I know those are all "exotic"; well to me anyway, but just about anything considered, if they weren't to heavy a Victory Hammer or Eight ball would be in there as well. So lets have some ideas please. Cheers Mark * as in don't need finance and would hope to get a bit more for my money, but for the right bike might even stretch it.

wouldn't that ccm be a bit underpowered if you are after at least 90bhp?

How about a FZ1 or the Fazer 1000? The faired model will tip the scales over 200kg but from what i've heard it's a pretty manageable bike. Get a full system for it and you'll save a lot of weight!
